Julie is a very professional and creative landscape designer. She came to our house, viewed the areas needing to be redone, listened to our personal preferences and then developed a beautiful and affordable landscape plan tailored to our requirements. She kept some of the trees and shrubs that we had previously planted and Julie worked them into her new plan. This new landscape layout now provides a great mix of textures and colors that bloom from early spring to late fall. We are extremely pleased with the professional look that this new landscaping has provided for our home and we have received many compliments on it. When I first bought my house the previous owner had done nothing for the yard. Living in an HOA you have to keep your yard looking good and I felt that if I had to keep up a yard I would rather put ongoing maintenance effort into a good looking yard than something that was just weedy grass with no plants. I went to a nursery that was close by to my house and found they had a landscape designer that would draw up a plan for my house. I met with Julie Cotton and explained that I was looking to have a design drawn up that would give me a variety of color around my house and would give me privacy around my back yard. Then Julie oversaw the installation of all the plants she designed. Now three years later I am seeing the results of this vision and it has turned out to be one of the greatest decisions I have ever made. The plants I had installed at the time were very small to cut down on the expense but now the fast growing plants I had planted in the back are starting to block out the neighbors view of my back yard and all the plants I had installed around my house have a variety of colors throughout the year that attract butterflies and bees constantly. I love how my house looks from the street and every time I run into a neighbor they comment on how good my yard looks. The design Julie drew up for me has turned out to be a great vision. The shapes of the beds and the choice of plants I have in my yard now makes me smile every time I come home and makes the ongoing effort I have to put into keeping the yard up worth the time and money.
